Once you've created a 0patch account and downloaded, installed and registered 0patch Agent on your computer (see Get started with 0patch in 3 minutes), it is good to check if everything is set up properly.
-
Check 0patch Console: Launch 0patch Console on the computer and check that:
- It doesn't immediately ask you to SIGN IN. If it does, the agent is either not properly registered (in which case, use your 0patch account email and password to register it), or the agent was installed using silent/unattended installation less than 60 minutes ago, which means it may not have registered itself due to a by-design random delay.
- LAST SERVER SYNC time is between 0 and 60 minutes ago.
- LICENSE corresponds to the license you have in your account (initially "FREE"; after purchase either "PRO" or "ENT"); "NONE" indicates a problem with connectivity.
- Under PATCHES -> RELEVANT PATCHES, there should be at least some patches listed, depending on the Windows version and installed applications.
- Check 0patch Central: Login to 0patch Central and check if you see the above computer listed on the COMPUTERS page, with its LAST SYNC time corresponding to that shown in 0patch Console.
-
Check installed official updates: Remember that our patches are written for exact versions of executables brought by the last official vendor updates on your computer; it is therefore important that you have the computer properly updated. Please see:
