0patch FREE (0patch without a paid license) is aimed primarily at non-work-related computers that are still being updated with original vendor's updates/patches, and is meant as a free additional layer of defense on top of vendor updates. 0patch FREE includes only "0day" patches, i.e., patches for vulnerabilities that original vendors haven't fixed yet. As soon as original vendor's fix becomes available, such patches are no longer included in 0patch FREE.
0patch FREE does not include legacy (end of support) patches that we issue for security-adopted products, and is therefore not suitable for keeping Windows secure without Microsoft's updates.
According to the End User License Agreement, You may use "0patch FREE" (i.e., 0patch without a paid "0patch PRO" or "0patch Enterprise" license) in the following cases:
-
Testing: For the purpose of testing 0patch in corporate, commercial or business environment, you are allowed to use "0patch FREE" for no more than 60 days. However, you can request a trial of "0patch PRO" licenses if you want to test additional features and patches.
Allowed Number of Devices: 10 (ten).
-
Personal Use: In the case of non-corporate, non-commercial, and non-business use of 0patch by a natural person, or members of their household for personal, noncommercial purposes , you are allowed to use "0patch FREE" for which you are not required to pay a subscription fee or other price. However, you can still purchase "0patch PRO" licenses if you want additional features and patches.
Allowed Number of Devices: 10 (ten).
-
Not-for-profit Educational Use: Not-for-profit educational institutions (e.g., public schools) are allowed to use "0patch FREE" on their work computers.
Allowed Number of Devices: 10 (ten).
If none of the above conditions are met, or you need to use 0patch on more devices, you must purchase a 0patch PRO or Enterprise license for each computer running 0patch Agent.
