BitDefender erroneously flags 0patch Agent installer as unsafe and blocks its installation. To work around this, you have to add an exception in BitDefender:
- Launch the BitDefender application on your computer.
- Access Protection Settings: Click on Protection from the left-hand side menu. In the ANTIVIRUS pane, click Open.
- Manage Exceptions: Click on the Settings tab. Click on Manage Exceptions. Click +Add an Exception. Enter the path of the 0patch Agent installer you downloaded or navigate to it using the browse button. Turn on the switch next to the protection feature that should not scan the file. There are three options (Antivirus, Online Threat Prevention, Advanced Threat Defense). Click Save to save the changes and close the window.
- Restore 0patch Agent installer from Quarantine: Go back to the Protection window. Click on Quarantine. Find the 0patch Agent installer and select it. Click on Restore to move the file back to its original location.
- Reattempt Installation.
