0patch will work, but some (perhaps many) of our patches may not get applied because the executable files on your computer that our patches have been written for are not of the correct version. You will not see any errors.
0patch Agent will just not find any patches for these executable files - which would have been found if these files were updated to the required official update.
We understand that Windows Updates can misbehave in dozens of ways and sometimes get stuck on some cryptic error, but we strongly recommend finding a way to have required official updates installed. We can't provide assistance with that, but there are lots of forum posts on the Internet addressing problems related with Windows Updates.
